  23. Yeah.  Check to see if it's an RPI modem (send an ATI3 command).  Then make 
  24. sure your init string isn't trying to make the modem do something it can't 
  25. (ECC).  If it is RPI, try a plain init like AT&C1&D2, then read up on 
  26. Rockwell Protocol Interface.
